Edit 2: Well, once again I made some changes ^^; Please don't kill me just yet  *Nixity said the woman and the deer looked cartoonish, so I fixed that. Also, added the shadow on the deer with some tips from ~pietzsche. Unfortunately, that didn't work for the girl, so I just used Burn tool there... Err well, it doesn't look good, but if someone can fix it for me, please do! Thanks! :aww:

Edit: Added shadows (had forgotten about them), the deer too... Changed the hues on the girl, so that she would fit in more and cropped the bottom. Thank you ^Thiefoworld for the tips! :tighthug:

The title says it all  I need to get into a "fairytales" mood, in order to enter this contest: [link] :P Sort of... I know it looks kinda smudged all over, but I don't know what caused it nor how to fix it :( It looked fine when I saved it...

Anyway, I hope you like it! :tighthug:
Oh, and please leave me a critique if possible, I want to get better. :aww:

Looking good overall, but I think there are a few aspects that could be improved <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)" />

The background looks pretty warm and the girl looks a little more cool, try adjusting the hues and the color balances so she can look a little more integrated into the background. Also, shadows under her dress and the bench are missing, that makes it look like it's floating over the grass.

The composition looks more weighted to the right due the girl and the tree branch are on the same side, therefore it seems like there's something missing in the lower left side, maybe you should try adding another element there or maybe moving one to the left?

Also I'm not completely sure about the pronounced darkness of the lower part of the image but this last one thing is a personal opinion <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)" />

Good work so far, I like the warm feeling it evokes and I think the idea is great, hope this little observations can help you improve it even more ^^
