Oh my goodness, I made the front page!! And on Christmas!! Thank you sooo much to everyone who ed, commented, or even just viewed this! I really do appreciate it, best Christmas present ever!
I think I really messed up this time... I have this program on my computer that reduces the brightness of my screen so that my eyes won't hurt as much... and I kinda forgot to turn it off, so the fractal ended up being pretty bright It looks lovely on my own computer, and I did my best to fix it up in Photoshop but it's just not as good as it was before I realized my mistake... Anyway, those are kinda supposed to be Christmas ornaments and lots of snow and stuff
Happy Holidays everyone, wherever you are, whatever you celebrate!
A very fun seasonal piece with plenty of interest, motion and diversity. The composition and palate gives it a good sense of depth and the aurora like curtains add a touch of mystery and the flower petals are nicely stretched On the critical side the palette is perhaps over-saturated and a little basic and the cropping of the marbles may have been done without losing a bit from the right hand side while not showing the blurred strip in the bottom left. All in all a nice piece showing a range of skills in ultra Fractal and my comments on colouring may be unjust as pointed out by the Authors screen issues!
omg, I have just read the rest of your artist comments... and I cannot tell you enough how many times I have forgotten to put the lighting on my computer back to normal when I've been working on something... It seems to be wonderful for fractals, but NOT for photos... I usually have to start all over.
Ah, yes, well... It's happened a few times now, and since I make just a couple fractals every few months, it doesn't even turn into a habit to put it back to normal! It's still fine if I remember to do that halfway through, but it's terrible once it's done and rendered... Because I usually spend a good couple of hours working on a fractal until I like it, that I don't want to start all over and I end up retouching it a bit in Photoshop or whatever. And most of the times it works out alright, but that's not the case with this one. I do appreciate that so many people loved it, but I'm not pleased with the way it looks with the screen on normal
